TFC with a big win over Colorado today. Scored two and allowed one, then defended the last 9 minutes with only 10 men. Average attendence over in the 5 home games so far has been about 19,500.... out of 20,000. Beautiful!

| Walked to work... inside of my right knee felt funny... sort of a "numb" pain, but thought I could last until at least lunch time... sat at my desk doing stuff for a while, then felt a weird pressure in the same spot... I moved my knee and it went crack, like a knuckle cracking... happens to me all the time, but this time the "numb" pain increased a bit and went away... then, I got up to walk to the printer and I felt the pain again, knee buckled a bit and then I decided it was time to go home, get my health card and go to a walk-in clinic.

| It's been 2 days since I've started my new job. I can't say I really like it much here yet. The people aren't really my type, but the management is supportive. My department is small; consists of only 4, including myself. We're all really different in terms of culture and personality, so it gets pretty dry in terms of team dynamics. Plus, which sucks for me is that I'm the only guy, so its even harder to relate. The environment here is definitely different from anywhere I've worked. I've noticed a discouraging segregation between the Chinese and non-Chinese employees here.
They're still hiring, by the way... anybody wanna join me?

| Roasted Garlic Tomato Pesto Penne with Pan-Seared Steak Strips
The Stuff: - 2 and a half cups of penne pasta - half a yellow onion (diced or chopped) - 5 cloves of garlic (thickly sliced, not chopped, to preserve the sweet flavour) - one medium or large tomato (chopped) - 3 stems of green onion (finely chopped, approx 3/4 cup) - dried basil, oregano (can sub for fresh versions if you like a less powerful flavor) - dried chilli flakes - olive oil - flank steak (fresh, inexpensive beef - adjust amount to personal pref.) - various seasonings: salt, pepper, steak spice
The Work - Part I - boil pasta in salted water - lightly oil a non-stick pan and heat on medium-high - when oil is close to hot, toss in 3/4 of the garlic, turn heat down to medium and fry till slightly brown - throw in the yellow onions, sweat (saute) until semi-translucent - throw in tomatos, then season with salt, dried chilli flakes, dried basil and oregano (keep basil to oregano ratio 2:1) measure according to taste - add about two tablespoons of water and then cover and cook (medium heat) about 3-4 minutes or until tomatos get soft enough to squish easily - adjust flavor with basil and salt if neccessary - throw in green onions and combine with existing mixture - throw in the cooked pasta, mix well, and adjust flavor with basil and salt if neccessary - serve on a warm dish or bowl (good enough for 2-3 people)
The Work - Part II - oops forgot to mention, flank steak should've been cut into strips about 1cm thick - using the same pan that you did the pasta with (you wanna keep some of the flavor from the pasta mix), LIGHTLY oil and warm on medium-high - toss in remaining garlic and brown on medium-high - place strips onto pan (cover the pan, do not overlap any strips), season with a little bit of salt or steak spice (I chose Montreal) - sear until both sides are brown - place strips on top of pasta
